Senior Wind Energy Project Manager

Job description

Senior Wind Energy Project Manager

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the development of multiple wind energy projects throughout the United States. This individual will report to the Director of Development. Scout’s scope of work involves site identification, wind resource assessment, landowner and community relations, permitting, environmental studies, interconnection, offtake and construction planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for development activities in early and mid-stage projects
  • Ensure timely development of projects and meeting all project milestones
  • Implementation of long-term company strategy and initiatives as they pertain to the development of wind projects
  • Represent Scout with customers, landowners, federal, state and local officials and other stakeholders
  • Drive complex negotiations and create solutions to project specific problems and challenges
  • Take lead role in obtaining local, state and/or federal permits
  • Manage consultants and external parties
  • Assist project budgeting and scheduling
  • Significant travel as needed

Qualifications

  • A BS or BA from an accredited college program
  • Considerable experience managing the development and strategic process for wind energy projects
  • Self-motivator with exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Establish organizational goals, objectives, and operating procedures in line with the overall business plans and objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive duties
  • Google Earth, Excel, Powerpoint, Word proficiency

Financial Analyst

Job description

Financial Analyst

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for project-based financial modeling and preparing documentation, reporting and analysis to assist investment decisions and will be part of the deal team to support M&A and project finance transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain fully structured (tax equity, debt and cash equity) internal financial model with most recent project and corporate assumptions
  • Coordinate with many different departments internally to update financial models
  • Support any scenario modeling for investment decisions and contract negotiations
  • Support project finance and M&A transactions, including due diligence and investor relations
  • Assist in building models, tools, process and infrastructure that supports the organization’s accuracy, efficiency and scalability
  • Assist in managing construction loan drawdowns and financing agreement compliance
  • Assist project budgeting and corporate reporting

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field
  • Experience with project finance models in investment banking and/or renewable energy industry, including modeling tax equity and debt structures
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (including VBA), Word and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivator with exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive duties

The Associate Project Manager will support the Project Managers in the development of multiple wind energy projects throughout the United States. This individual will report to the Director of Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extensive Google Earth mapping to identify and analyze potential constraints for wind energy projects
  • Learn from and take direction from Project Managers
  • Wind energy lease agreement processing and landowner communications
  • Help coordinate consultants and external parties
  • Assist project budgeting, scheduling and reporting
  • Significant travel as needed

Qualifications

  • A BS or BA from an accredited college program
  • Self-motivator with exceptional communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
